This great mountain is called Denali by the locals (Mt. McKinley outside Alaska) and is one of the most massive mountains in the world. This photo was taken from 80 miles away and it emphasis the height of this peak. It is part of the Alaska range and stands 20,320 ft. (6,194 meters) in height. I was lucky to have such a clear day to take this photograph because statistics are that the mountain is shrouded by clouds 80% of the time.

The Alaska Range is perhaps the most well-known mountain range in Alaska. It is home to Denali National Park and the giant mountain itself, Denali (you may know it better by its white-man name, Mt. McKinley). This mountain range is one of Alaska's largest, starting at Alaska's eastern border with Canada, arcing across the north of Southcentral Alaska, ending to the west of the Kenai Peninsula.

This image also shows some of the impressive lesser mountains surrounding the mighty peak.
