Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A wonderful pattern is displayed by these vintage lights in an original American diner. The interior in art deco style is very warm and inviting. I found this gem in north Ft. Lauderdale during a visit to Florida.
From the 1920s to the 1940s, diners were usually prefabricated in factories (like a mobile home) and delivered to the restaurant site. As a result, old diners were typically narrow and small, because they had to fit onto a rail car or truck for delivery to the restaurant site. Some vintage diners have been expanded over the years, by building additions into the prefab structure. In the 2010s, many new diners are built on site instead. Diners were historically small businesses operated by the owner. In the 2010s, some diners are operated by chains.
