I was driving through the Fernald Nature Preserve one morning when I spotted this lovely doe watching me from the wooded area along the road. She was so perky and alert it seemed she was asking, "What are you doing in my territory?" I couldn't resist taking a picture.
The Fernald Preserve features 140 acres of wetland habitat including three lakes, 400 acres of forests and 360 acres of grasslands including tall grass prairies.
