Description
Each room of the Lane-Hooven House in Hamilton, Ohio contains a fireplace. This image is a close-up of the detail of one of those fireplaces. The elaborate hand carved wood is the most elegant feature of the fireplace, however the beautifully glazed Hamilton Tile is and added attraction. This fireplace was designed to burn coal as demonstrated by the cast iron enclosure cover.
The Lane Hooven House is a historical home located in Hamilton, Ohio. It is a victorian gothic style and is an octagonal home with a unique spiral staircase that was built in 1863 and was the home of Clark Lane, a prominent Butler County industrialist and philanthropist.
