It snowed overnight on our trip to Alton, Illinois. When we ventured out I encountered this colorful store of canoes and kayaks waiting for some adventurous folks to take a journey down the river. Alton is a city on the Mississippi River in Madison County, Illinois, United States, about 15 miles (24 km) north of St. Louis, Missouri.
The bright colors of the canoes were striking against the drab morning skies.
